Awaken!

We believe that American values are best protected by a mentoring approach to political involvement: seasoned activists awakening and introducing inexperienced Patriots to the process. Most people who are actively engaged in politics can point back to someone who got them involved. That’s why we’ve established “Awaken”.

Starting in January we will be launching our program, which will meet on Saturday mornings. You will be equipped in the principals of the Constitution, building coalitions and reaching communities, organizing meaningful events, running campaigns, holding officials accountable and using media and new media. Training material is powered by American Majority and the National Center of Constitutional Studies. Basic training will run on Saturday mornings for 6 straight weeks.

Each week you will hear from experienced conservative activists, candidates and elected officials. The following guest speakers have been confirmed.

  • J. Matthew Brock: Representative from the Liberty Counsel.
  • Scott Plakon: Elected to Florida House of Representatives, District 37, and co-sponsor of the Florida Health Care Freedom legislation.
  • Jon Rawlson: Pharmaceutical lobbyist, grassroots activist, federal government appointee under George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan administrations.
  • John Stemberger: Florida Family Policy Council president and chairman of the 2008 Florida Marriage Amendment campaign.
  • Tea Party Patriots: Jason Hoyt and Phil Russo, local conservative activists and hosts of the Tea Party Patriots Live radio show on AM 660 WORL.
  • Colleen Hufford: Casselberry City Commissioner.

Citizen2Citizen

Citizen2Citizen is a mentoring approach to conservative political activism, in which concerned citizens who are actively involved in politics are encouraged to take initiative with their like-minded friends who might be sitting on the sidelines, and show them how to get involved. If everyone successfully engages 2-3 of their friends in the political process, the number of conservative activists will exponentially increase and the vast untapped reservoir of the silent majority of conservatives in this country will be silent no more.
